these are the kind of school pictures I'm talking about. I cringe to think of parents buying their kids' school pictures they take at the beginning of the year for the yearbook and hanging it up on the wall. No offense. That's what my childhood photos look like. They're fine. They look like everybody else's.
Personally, I like a little more personality in my pictures. In a year, you'll forget the silly faces they always made, or the way they turned their foot out, or cocked their head to the side. Capturing them in real life, playing or in a comfortable environment lets you hold on to that.

I did this adorable little girl's newborn pictures, and here we are a year later. She has grown so much - even if she is still a tiny little thing. ;) I love her big eyes and natural talent in front of a camera. Happy birthday, Evie!
Here is my latest newborn photo shoot. I am so lucky to know so many good people having adorable little babies! These are some friends of ours who got to welcome home their little girl a few weeks early. Congratulations! Hope you like the pictures!
What a blast this shoot was! I seriously love this family. After a long time waiting, scheduling, and rescheduling, we were finally able to get together for these amazing pictures of some really amazing people. And they were totally worth the wait! These were done at Redcliffe Plantation up in SC. And I think that's the location for my own family's next pictures.
I took Eliza to a FABULOUSLY beautiful field near our home and took her one-year-old pictures.
